Camembert is a moist, soft, creamy, surface-ripened cow's milk cheese with an edible rind originally made in the late 18th century at Camembert, Normandy, in northern France. It is similar to Brie in flavour and texture having a milky sweet taste, just smaller in size of wheel when made. Stored in the refrigerator and can be served at room temperature or baked in the oven.
Taking a complete 30 days to age, as the cheese matures it forms a smooth, runny interior and a white bloomy rind that is typical to a Camembert cheese.
